AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH BANANAS, INC. FOR
CHILD CARE PAYMENTS PROGRAM
WHERE 5, the City is a participant in the Community
Development B ock Grant Program (CDBG) authorized under the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, there is a citywide need for safe, available
and affordable child care; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the provision of
child care services is an eligible use of funds under
Section 570.201(e) of the CDBG regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City has programmed funds from the
Community Development Block Grant Entitlement for the
purpose of providing child care payments to providers in
accordance with provisions and conditions contained in an
agreement for the Child Care Payments Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that the City Manager be and hereby is
authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, on
behalf of the City, an agreement with Bananas, Inc. for a
Child Care Payments Program.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st of July, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Hanna - 1.
