AWARDING CONTRACT TO MCGUIRE AND HESTER FOR CLINTON-
PARK-OTIS SANITARY SEWER PROJECT, PHASE I, NO. P.W.
3-86-7, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Clinton-Park-Otis
Sanitary Sewer Project, Phase I, in accordance with
Specifications No. P.W. 3-86-7 approved June 3, 1986; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by McGuire and Hester agreeing to perform said work in
accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $836,599; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of McGuire and Hester is hereby accepted,
the contract for the Clinton-Park-Otis Sanitary Sewer Project,
Phase I, is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said
I contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of July, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
