AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF FIRE ENGINE
(FIRE PUMPER) FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, there is an allocation and funds are available
in the Fire Department Equipment Replacement Fund for the
purchase of a Fire Engine (Fire Pumper); and
WHEREAS, the 1987 Mack, Fire Mac II 1500 Gal. Per Min.
Custom Pumper, supplied by Mack Truck Inc. and Ward 79 Inc. is
available through Mack Sales & Service, Signal Hill, CA 90806;
and
WHEREAS, this vehicle is the best option available to the
City at this time and meets the specifications of the Fire Depart-
ment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
Fire Department, in cooperation with the City Purchasing Agent,
is hereby authorized to purchase one (1) 1987 Mack, Fire Mac II
1500 Gal. Per Min. Custom Pumper from Mack Sales & Service.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th_ of August, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councitlmember Corica, Hanna, Lucas., Monaef and President Ditament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
