AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF GOLF COURSE
EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the Equipment
Replacement Fund for replacement of obsolete golf course
equipment; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to replace a Golf Course
mower and it has been determined that a Toro Greenmaster Model
4345, with three standard eight blade cutting units, a Wiehle
Roller Kit and an optional single point adjustment is the best
equipment for its intended use; and
WHEREAS, said mower can be purchased at a lower price on
the open market; and
WHEREAS, the lowest and best quotation for a Toro
Greenmaster Model 4345 mower was submitted by Weststar
Distributing Incorporated of Hayward in the amount of $10,532.85;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter said
Council hereby authorizes the purchase from Weststar Distributing
Incorporated of one Toro Greenmaster Model 4345 for the Golf
Course.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of September, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Counci.lmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ASSENT: ;lone.
