AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR
REPAVING OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE PARKING
LOT, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Repaving of the Alameda
Municipal Golf Course Parking Lot in accordance with
Specifications No P.W. 7-86-25, approved August 12, 1986; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$168,522.50, which sum includes the base bid and add alternates;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. is hereby
accepted, the contract for Repaving of the Alameda Municipal Golf
Course Parking Lot is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to
attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th of September, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
