AWARDING CONTRACT TO VOMAR PRODUCTS, INC. FOR
FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION OF STREET DIRECTORIES
AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS ON PARK STREET AND WEBSTER STREET
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Fabrication and
Installation of Street Directories at Various Locations on Park
Street and Webster Street in accordance with Specifications No.
P.W. 7-86-22, approved August 5, 1986; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Vomar Products, Inc. agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $52,171.60
for the total base bid including add alternatives; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest qualified bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the base bid of Vomar Products, Inc. is hereby
accepted, the contract for fabrication and installation of street
directories at various locations on Park Street and Webster
Street is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of
$47,645.00, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and
the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th of September, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
