AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF VARIOUS
VEHICLES FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Fiscal Year 1986-87
Public Works Department budget for the purchase of One 1/2-ton
Pickup with Lumber Rack, One 3/4-ton Pickup with Tailgate Lift,
One Compact Pickup with Tailgate Lift, and One 4-door Sedan; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that these vehicles are
available on the open market as good used, rental, demonstrators,
prior year and/or end-of-year models which can be acquired at
considerable savings to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter the
Public Works Director is hereby authorized to negotiate and
purchase the vehicles listed above on the open market.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7 of October, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers. Corica, Fianna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
