Resolution 11025CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11025 AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OFFICE OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION FOR THE CITY TO BE A CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT, PURSUANT TO THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION ACT OF 1966 WHEREAS, local governments certified under the Certified Local Government Program, pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, are eligible to apply for competitive grants to cover up to fifty percent of the administrative and technical costs of preservation activities; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has already done or is involved in doing the types of historic preservation work required of Certified Local Governments; and WHEREAS, the Historical Advisory Commission has reviewed an Application to the State Office of Historic Preservation to participate in the Certified Local Government Program and has recommended to this Council that said application be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council hereby authorizes the submittal of an application to the State Office of Historic Preservation for the City to be a Certified Local Government, pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7 of October, 1986, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmemb.ers, Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
