AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FY 1986 -87 STATEMENT
OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND WITH AFFECTED SUBGRANTEES
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is an eligible applicant for Community
Development Block Grant Entitlement Funds as authorized by the Housing
and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a Statement of Community Development Objectives and Projected
Use of Funds was previously approved by the City Council of the City of
Alameda and by the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the availability of an additional $144,000 in previously
deferred CDBG funds necessitates an amendment to said Statement of
Objectives and Use of Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has sought and considered citizens'
comments regarding the proposed use of said funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Alameda does hereby authorize an amendment to the FY 1986 -87 Statement
of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute amendments to the City's Grant Agreement with the Department of
Housing and Urban Development, as necessary, and with CDBG subgrantees
affected by this Amendment.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th. of October, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Counctlmemb,ers; Cortca, Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: Counci:lmember Lucas - 1.
ABSENT: None.
