AUTHORIZING CONTRACTING IN THE OPEN MARKET FOR
REHABILITATION OF STREET SWEEPER PURSUANT TO
SECTION 3 -15 OF THE CITY CHARTER
WHEREAS, funds are available in the 1986 -87 budget for
the rehabilitation of one mechanical street sweeper used by the
Maintenance Services Division of the Public Works Department;
and
WHEREAS, the Mobil sweeper to be rehabilitated is sold
and serviced by the Nixon -Egli Equipment Company; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Nixon -Egli is the
only company that can provide the mechanical expertise to
rehabilitate this sweeper and said firm has submitted a proposal
to perform the work in an amount not to exceed $35,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to
contract with Nixon -Egli Equipment Company for the rehabilitation
of a Mobile street sweeper pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the
City Charter.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of October, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: :lone.
ABSENT: None.
