AWARDING CONTRACT TO NIXON-EGLI EQUIPMENT COMPANY
FOR A LEAF COLLECTOR FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for a Leaf Sweeper for the
Maintenance Services Division of the Public Works Department in
accordance with Specifications No. MSP 9-86-1, approved
September 16, 1986; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Nixon-Egli Equipment Company agreeing to furnish
said Sweeper in accordance with said Specifications for the sum
of $17,886.68; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of the Nixon-Egli Equipment Company is
hereby accepted, the contract for purchase of one American Road
Machinery 14 Yard Leaf Collector is hereby awarded to said
bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of October, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament -
NOES:
ABSENT: None.
