Resolution 11038CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11038
AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF A SEDAN FOR
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 3 -15 OF
THE CITY CHARTER
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the 1986 -1987
equipment replacement funds for the purchase of a used sedan for
the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the best vehicle for intended use is a 1985 Ford
LTD, 4 door sedan which can be purchased at a lower price on the
open market; and
WHEREAS, the proposed vehicle is available for immediate
delivery from Hertz Corporation Used Car Sales at a price
of $7,496.15;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter said
Council hereby authorizes the purchase from Hertz Corporation
Used Car Sales of a 1985 Ford LTD, 4 door sedan for the Fire
Department at a cost of $7,596.15.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of October, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: :cone.
ABSENT: None.
