AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO SERVICE
AGREEMENT WITH GATES, McDONALD & COMPANY FOR
WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, on November 1, 1976, the City of Alameda /Bureau
of Electricity and Gates, McDonald & Company entered into an
agreement for the purpose of providing claims administration
services for the City of Alameda/Bureau Vo f Electricity's self
insurance Workers' Compensation program; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to said agreement has been
prepared and submitted to the Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized
to execute,and the City Clerk to attest to, an amendment to the
agreement heretofore entered into between the City of
Alameda /Bureau of Electricity and Gates, McDonald & Company, said
amendment herein authorized to change the term to reflect a
one -year extension of said agreement commencing November 1, 1986
and terminating on October 31, 1987, and to increase the service
fee from $19,780 to $22,700 per year.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of October, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Ciarnent - 5.
NOES: hone.
ABSENT: None.
