AWARDING CONTRACT TO 0. C. JONES & SONS FOR MARINA
VILLAGE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 84-3, PROJECT NO. 6,
ATLANTIC AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENTS, P.W. 5-86-15,
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Construction of
Atlantic Avenue Street Improvements, Marina Village AD 84-3,
Project No. 6 in accordance with Specifications No. P.W.
5-86-15 approved January 6, 1987; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by O. C. Jones & Sons agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$299,779.90; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons is hereby accepted,
,c)the contract for the construction of Atlantic Avenue Street
Improvements is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is
1 <hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said
1tril: contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 3rd of February, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas and
President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Vice Mayor Monsef - 1.
