AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF A TRUCK FOR
THE GOLF DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the 1986 -87 adopted
budget for the replacement of a pick -up truck for the Golf
Course; and
WHEREAS, a new 1987 Ford Ranger Pick -Up truck is
available through the Cooperative Procurement Agreement with the
State of California at a cost of $7,733.48; and
WHEREAS, the cost of said vehicle is less than the cost
of a used one year old vehicle purchased locally or from a vendor
on the open market.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
City Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to act on behalf of
the City in the purchase of a 1987 Ford Ranger Pick -Up truck
through the Cooperative Procurement Agreement with the State of
California.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 3rd of March, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas and
President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Vice Mayor Monsef - 1.
