AWARDING CONTRACT TO FANFA, INCORPORATED, FOR
CLOSURE OF DOOLITTLE LANDFILL SITE, P.W. 12-86-39,
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Closure of Doolittle
Landfill Site, in accordance with Specifications No. P.W.
12-86-39 approved January 20, 1987; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Fanfa, Incorporated agreeing to perform said work in
accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $992,035.00;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Fanfa, Incorporated is hereby
accepted, the contract for Closure of Doolittle Landfill Site, is
hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized
: to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf
of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding program for this
project, as set out and specified in the February 23, 1987 report
to Council from the Public Works Director, is hereby approved.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 3rd of March, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas and
President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Vice Mayor Monsef - 1.
