AWARDING CONTRACT TO LES McDONALD CONSTRUCTION
CO. FOR REPAIR AND RESURFACING OF CERTAIN STREETS,
PHASE 8, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Repair and Resurfacing of
\ Certain Streets, Phase 8, in accordance with Specifications No.
P.W. 2-87-3, approved February 17, 1987; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
- submitted by Les McDonald Construction Co. agreeing to perform
' said work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$396,605.95, base bid, and $49,737.50 add alternate bid; and

1 WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the base bid and add alternate bid of Les
McDonald Co. is hereby accepted, the contract for Repair and
Resurfacing of Certain Streets, Phase 8, is hereby awarded to
said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and
the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 17th day of March, 1987
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas,
Monsef and President Diament - 5
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
