APPROVING ALAMEDA SOUTH SHORE BEACH AND ROBERT
CROWN MEMORIAL STATE BEACH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT,
PHASES IV AND V, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF ALAMEDA AND EAST BAY
REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, by its Resolutions No. 10680 and No. 10845 this
Council approved the East Bay Regional Park District plan for
Phase IV and Phase V of the South Shore Beach Sand Replenishment
Project; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that EBRPD be designated as
project manager for Phases IV and V of the beach improvement

WHEREAS, there are unresolved issues concerning Tideland
Trust funding for Phase V and a B.C.D.C. permit for the Bayview
o Estates beach area which will affect funding for Phase V;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City

% 6 of Alameda that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to

0 execute and to attest to, respectively, on behalf of the City, an
agreement with East Bay Regional Park District which provides for
administration of the Alameda South Shore Beach and Robert Crown
Memorial State Beach Improvement Project, Phases IV and V.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 17th day of March, 1987
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Hanna, Lucas and
President Diament - 3
NOES: Councilmembers Corica and Monsef - 2
