AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR ARBOR
STREET IMPROVEMENTS, BUENA VISTA AVENUE TO PACIFIC
AVENUE, P.W. NO. 1-87-2, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Arbor Street Improvements,
Buena Vista Avenue to Pacific Avenue, in accordance with Specifications
No. P.W. 1-87-2 approved March 3, 1987; and.
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $72,320.00; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc., is hereby
accepted, the contract for Arbor Street Improvements, Buena Vista
Avenue to Pacific Avenue, is hereby awarded to said bidder, andthe
Mayor is here authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest,
said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th of April, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
