COMMITTING FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE ACTIVITIES OF THE
EMERGENCY SHELTER NETWORK OF ALAMEDA COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Emergency Shelter Network of Alameda County was formed to
coordinate the delivery of services to the homeless; and
WHEREAS, several community -based organizations involved in the provision
of emergency services support and participate in the activities of the
Emergency Shelter Network; and
WHEREAS, the broad participation of public and private emergency
services agencies throughout the County has helped to eliminate
inefficiencies in the delivery of services to the homeless; and
WHEREAS, the City of Oakland, the United Way df the Bay Area and the
East Bay Community Foundation have provided financial support for the
activities of the Emergency, Shelter Network; and
WHEREAS, continuing funding from these sou
