Resolution 11186CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11186 AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, funds are available in the 1986 -87 fiscal year Police Department budget for the purchase of an open, four wheel drive vehicle, needed by the Police Department for beach patrol; and WHEREAS, only two vehicles meet the Department's need, JEEP and Suzuki; and WHEREAS, Suzuki more closely meets the Department's need by virtue of size, cost and reliability; and WHEREAS, this vehicle is not available through local dealers; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the Police Department is hereby authorized to negotiate for the open market purchase of a Suzuki Samari, four wheel drive vehicle which meets its specifications. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 28th of April, 1987, by the following vOte to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
