CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11188
AWARDING CONTRACT TO SANBORN MAP COMPANY, INC. FOR
UPDATE AND EXTENSION OF EXISTING SANBORN MASTER
PROPERTY MAP BOOK, AND APPROPRIATING BUILDING PERMIT
REVENUE OF $45,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE
WHEREAS, existing Sanborn maps of Alameda have not been
updated since 1970; and
WHEREAS, these maps contain a wealth of information
relating to existing structures within City limits which is
invaluable to the Planning and Public Works Departments; and
WHEREAS, Sanborn Map Company, Inc. is the sole provider
for update and extension of the existing Sanborn Master Property
Map Book; and
WHEREAS, the Sanborn Map update project was included in
the FY 86/87 Capital Improvement Projects Budget (#84-7) but is
not funded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and
the City Clerk to attest, for and on behalf of the City, a
,?:-contract with the Sanborn Map Company, Inc. for update and
extension of the existing Sanborn Master Property Map Book; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $45,000 of
-Building Permit revenue is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund Reserve to fund this project.

the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 5th of May, 1987,
