COMMENDING MARK HANNA FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AS
CITY COUNCILMEMBER
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA acknowledges the record,
accomplishments and tenure in office of MARK HANNA, Councilmember
of the City of Alameda for the past four years; and
WHEREAS, MARK HANNA was elected to the City Council on April
19, 1983 and served as the City's Vice Mayor from 1983 until
1985; and
WHEREAS, MARK HANNA served as a member of the Alameda City
Planning Board for two years prior to his election to the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, MARK HANNA served with distinction for an unprece-
dented 34 years as Alameda's Trustee on the Alameda County Mos-
quito Abatement District; and
WHEREAS, MARK HANNA served as the City's representative to
the Association of Bay Area Governments and reported regularly on
his activities in that capacity to his fellow Councilmembers; and
WHEREAS, MARK HANNA in his capacity as former City Engineer
was responsible for many transportation improvements and instru-
mental in securing initial Federal Aid Urban Funding for the
Patton Way (later named Constitution Way) Project; and
WHEREAS, MARK HANNA labored long and hard hours serving the
community on the Council's subcommittee on beach erosion and on
analysis of waste-to-energy projects to name a few; and
WHEREAS, MARK HANNA has been known for his attention to de-
tail and his quest for knowledge.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Alameda commends and congratulates MARK HANNA for the years of
service rendered and his accomplishments, and expresses apprecia-
tion for the devotion to duty to carrying out his responsibili-
ties.
0 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
0 Alameda, City Staff, and his many friends throughout the com-
-11 munity extend to MARK HANNA their congratulations and best wishes
for continued good health, success, and much happiness.

Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 19th of May, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmempers Camic a, Monsef, Thomas and
Mayor Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None(Vacant Office).
