AWARDING CONTRACT TO SAMSON CONSTRUCTION FOR THE RENOVATION
OF TWO CLASSROOMS FOR A SOCIAL SERVICE AND OFFICE WING AT
THE MASTICK SENIOR CENTER, P.W. NO. 2 -87 -4, AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore published
notice calling for bids for the Renovation of Two Classrooms for a Social
Service and Office Wing at the Mastick Senior Center, in accordance with
Specifications No. P.W. 2 -87 -4 approved April 7, 1987; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was submitted by
Samson Construction agreeing to perform said work in accordance with said
Specifications for the sum of $89,900.00 base bid, plus $980.00 add alternative;
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its proposal is the
owest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda
that the bid of Samson Construction is hereby accepted, the contract
for Renovation of Two Classrooms for a Social Service and Office Wing
at the Mastick Senior Center, is hereby awarded to said bidder; and the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest,
said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 19th of May, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Monsef, Thomas and
Mayor Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None(Vacant Office).
