AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 RENTAL
REHABILITATION GRANT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
CERTIFICATIONS AND GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has rmioed that there is a
need within the City for assistance in the preservation and
rehabilitation of existing rental housing units; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is an eli iblo applicant for
Rental Rehabilitation Grant Funds as authorized by the Urban-Rural
Recovery Act of 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by he Council of the City of
Alameda that the City of Alameda hereby certifies the following;
1. The submission of the Program Description
under local law, the grantee possesses the legal authority to carry
out the Rental Rehabilitation Program described bereiu, in accordance
with 24 CFR Part 511;
2. The City' developed
after consultation witb the public and its desc iuu of program
activities in the Program Activities section of this pro8ramIleauriy' no
has been made available to the public;
3. The City's l reduced
to 70 percent as provided by 24 CFR 511.10 (a)(2). The discussion of
lower income benefit in t specific
explanation of the reasons why this reduced benefit in this Program
Description is ueoesoary, which explanation complies with 24 CFR 511.10
4. The City ofAlameda has adopted a written te assistance
policy conforming to the requirement of 24 CFR 511_10 (h)(2), and such
policy will be made available to the public on request.
5. The City of Alameda will conduct and administer its Rental
Rehabilitation Program in conformity with the requirement of 24 CFR
511.10 (m); and
6. The City of Alameda will conduct and administer its Rental
Rehabilitation Program in accordance with the requirements of 24 CFR
Part 511.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 19th of May, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camic a, Monsef, Thomas and
Mayor Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None(Vacant Office).
