AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR
COLLECTION AND DISBURSEMENT OF DEVELOPER FEES
WITH ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, State Assembly Bill No. 2926 gave school
districts new authorization to levy developer fees to finance
construction of school facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda Unified School District has chosen
to contract with the City as the Building Permit issuing agency
to levy and collect these fees; and
WHEREAS, on January 13, 1987, the Alameda Unified School
District passed Resolution No. 1901 assessing developer fees at
$1.50 per square foot for all new residential construction or on
conversions of nonhabitable space to habitable space;and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been drafted by the Alameda
Unified School District providing for City retention of 1% of all
fees collected and disbursed to the Alameda Unified School
District to cover staff time to implement this program;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and each hereby

is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to,
respectively, on behalf of the City, an agreement with the
Alameda Unified School District for Collection and Disbursement

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 2nd of June, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
