Resolution 11208CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11208
AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF COMMUNICATIONS
EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Police Department
budget for acquisition of communications equipment; and
WHEREAS, during tactical operations (narcotics,
critical incidents, etc.) there is a need in the Police
Department for multi - channel communications equipment dedicated
solely to the operation in progress; and
WHEREAS, Contemporary Electronic Systems in Corona Del
Mar, California has quoted a price of $9,648.73 (including 7%
sales tax) for the radios and ancillary equipment necessary to
complete the tactical communications system;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
Police Department, in cooperation with the City Purchasing
Agent, is hereby authorized to purchase communications equipment
from Contemporary Electronic Systems.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 2nd of June, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
