AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR
CONSTITUTION WAY [FORMERLY PATTON WAY], PHASE IIIA,
STREET CONSTRUCTION NO. P.W. 3-86-5, AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Constitution Way, [Formerly
Patton Way], Phase IIIA, Street Construction, in accordance with
Specifications No. P.W. 3-86-5 approved April 28, 1987; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$549,262.80; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its

proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
:2 of Alameda that the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc. is hereby
accepted, the contract for Constitution Way [Formerly Patton
F., Way], Phase IIIA, Street Construction, is hereby awarded to
said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and
a 74a the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 2nd of June, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: Councilmember Thomas - 1.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of said City this 3rd day of
June, 1987.
