AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT WITH BANANAS, INC. FOR CHILD
CARE VOUCHERS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-88
WHEREAS, the City is a participant in the Community Development
Block Grant Program (CDBG) authorized under the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974, as amended; and
&08DD&S, there is a citywide need for safe, available and
affordable child care; and
&0ED2&8, it has been determined that the provision of child care
services is an eligible use of funds under Section 570.301(e) of the
CDBG regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City has programmed funds from the Community
Development Block Grant Entitlement and UDAG Loan Repayments for the
purpose of providing child care payments to providers in accordance with
provisions and conditions contained in an agreement for the Child Care
Vouchers;

Alameda that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute,
and the City Clerk to attnat, on behalf of the City, an agreement with
Bananas, Inc. for Child Care Vouchers for Fiscal Year 1987-88.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of June, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef and
Acting President Thomas - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mayor Corica - 1.
