AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE
ALAMEDANS WITH HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES PROVIDED EQUALLY FOR
HOUSING 0UD09ELI08, FAIR HOUSING AND SHARED HOUSING SERVICES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1987-88
W8BDC&S, Equal Housing Opportunity is a right guaranteed to all
Americans under Title VI and Title VIII of the Civil rights Act of 1968;
and
WHEREAS, the City is a participant in the Community Development
Block Grant Program authorized under the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974 as amended; and
WHEREAS, Housing Counseling and Shared Housing Services are
eligible uses of CDBG funds under Section 24 CFR 570.208(o) and under
Section 24 CFR 870.201(o);
WHEREAS, the City has d $19,035 in Thirteenth Year CDBG
Entitlement Funds for Housing Counseling Services, $3,255 in Thirteenth
Year CDBG Entitlement Funds for Fair Housing Services and $14.800 in
Thirteenth Year CDBG Entitlement Funds for Shared Housing Services; and
00DDE&S. Alumodauo with Housing Opportunities Provided Equally
(HOPE) exists and is qualified to provide such housing opportunity
counseling and services;
NOW, I88BEF0BE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to axenuto,
and the City Clerk to atteat, on behalf of the City. a Grant Agreement
with Alamoduum with HOPE for Housing Counseling, Fair Housing and Shared
Housing Services for Fiscal Year 1987-88.
