AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONDUIT AGREEMENT WITH
PACIFIC BELL FOR EXTENSION OF EXISTING COMMUNICATION
FACILITIES FOR CONSTITUTION WAY, PHASE 2
WHEREAS, on January 6, 1987 the Council of the City of
Alameda awarded the contract for Constitution Way Phase II
(formerly Patton Way Phase II) Atlantic Avenue Extension No.
P.W. 5-86-11; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with this work, the City has
requested that Pacific Bell extend its existing communication
facilities by extending its common service connections; and
WHEREAS, Pacific Bell shall provide the necessary
conduit material and other facilities, and the Public Utilities
Commission's Rule #16 provides that Pacific Bell shall be
responsible for all work and/or materials; and
WHEREAS, an agreement to provide these materials and
services has been submitted to the City and the Council is fully
informed and aware of the contents thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
:kity of Alameda that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and each hereby
0aris, authorized to execute and to attest to, respectively, on
:cbehalf of the City, an agreement with Pacific Bell to provide the
;.‹necessary materials and facilities for the extension of existing
!communication facilities for Constitution Way Phase II Atlantic
-:Avenue Extension.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 21st of July, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
