AUTHORIZING REPROGRAMMING OF UNEXPENDED PRIOR YEAR'S
UDAG LOAN REPAYMENT FUNDS AND FY I987-88 CDBG FUNDS
FOR WOODSTOCK CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
WHEREAS, on May 19, 1987 the Council committed $45'000 to the Alameda
Unified School District (AUSD) for Roof Replacement at the Woodstock
Child Development Center (WCDC); and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that City funding of this project would
jeopardize the receipt by AUSD of state matching funds for deferred
maintenance at WCDC; and
WHEREAS, the Council remains committed to providing a total of 845'000
to the WCDC Progrmm, provided suitable projects can be identified; and
WHEREAS, an AUSD/Child Care Study Committee has identified reinstatement
of the Woodstock Toddler program, at a cost of $22'000' to be its
highest priority; and
W88BEA8, in addition to roof replacement, other physical rehabilitation
needs at WCDC exist and projects totalling at least $23'000 have been
identified; and
W8EB8AS, the above projects are eligible for UDAG Loan Repayment and
CDBG funding respectively; and

WHEREAS, the funding of said projects requires that the Council
authorize ,ev,"",~~~^"g of $19,564 in 1986-87 UDAG Loan ".."xm.., funds
to the Woodstock Toddler program; approve the use of $2.430 in
previously committed 1887-88 UDAG Repayment funds for the Toddler
program; approve the use of $23.000 in previously committed FY 1987-88
CDBG funds for Woodstock Rehabilitation; and authorize reprogramming of
n�n sxu in FY 1987-88 CDBG funds to the FY 1987-88 Contingency *."x�

NUN' 788BEP0RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda
that a Resolution authorizing Reprogramming of Unexpended Prior Year's
UDAG Loan Repayment Funds and FY 1887-88 CDBG Funds for Woodstock Child
Development Center is hereby approved.

Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
