REJECTING SINGLE BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW
REST ROOMS AT LINCOLN PARK
WHEREAS, on July 21, 1987, this Council adopted Plans
and Specifications P.W. No. 6 -87 -13 and called for bids for the
Construction of New Rest Rooms at Lincoln Park; and
WHEREAS, a single bid was submitted in an amount higher
than the architect's estimate and was not considered acceptable;
and
WHEREAS, after evaluating the bid and scope of the
project with the architect, it has been determined that the plans
can be moderately modified resulting in obtaining a lower bid in
the future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said Council hereby rejects the single bid
-received for the construction of new rest rooms at Lincoln
Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is hereby authorized to
modify the project plans and submit them to Council for approval
at a future date.

Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 1st of September, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
