AUTHORIZING REPROGRAMMING OF SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF ALAMEDA
FOR A BUSINESS SURVEY AND A MARKET ANALYSIS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1887-1988
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has demonstrated its support for commercial
revitalization through the allocation of funds to the Economic
Development Corporation of Alameda for Small Business Development
activities and for technical assistance to small- and medium-aloe
buoiueueeo' . and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Advisory Committee of the City of
Alameda has determined that a survey of businesses in and a market
analysis of the Webster Street area are important components of a
revitalization strategy in said area; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Corporation of Alameda is capable and
qualified to carry out said studies of the Webster Street area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Alameda that reprogramming of CDBG funds from the Small Business
Development Fund to the Economic Development Corporation for a Business
Survey and Market Analysis for FY 1087-88 is hereby authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that
the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the
EDCA's FY 1987-88 Grant Agreement pursuant to the aforementioned
reprogramming.

the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 3rd of November, 1987,
