Resolution 11342CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11342 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO KEEP FORMERLY, SUBSIDIZED HOUSING AFFORDABLE TO LOW AND MODERATE INCOME PERSONS WHEREAS, subsidized housing in the City of Alameda will be lost to low-income tenants; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heard the concerns expressed by those tenants who stand to be displaced when these units will no longer be available; and WHEREAS, the City Council is concerned that possible displacement of many households would have harmful effects on the residents, the City and the School District; and WHEREAS, the City is working with the Department of Housing E'. ° and Urban Develpment to obtain vouchers to assist those who may it qualify for assistance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda agrees to work on behalf of the tenants of said housing to keep the apartments affordable to low-income persons and the City Council encourages the Housing Authority to assist residents in whatever way possible. * * * * * * * * I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the 9th of November 1987, by the following vote to wit: AYES: NOES: Councilmembers Camicia, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 4.
