AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF VARIOUS
PIECES OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Fiscal Years 1987 -89
Public Works Budget for the purchase of the following equipment
for the Public Works Department:

2. One 3/4 -Ton van w /tool shelves & tailgate lift
Replacement for Parking Meter Crew

WHEREAS, it has been determined that the various pieces of
equipment are available on the open market as good, used, rental,
consignment vehicles, demonstrators and new prior year or
end -of -year models which can be acquired at a considerable savings to
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
Public Works Director is hereby authorized to negotiate and purchase
the equipment listed above on the open market.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting
assembled on the 9th of November 1987,
