AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE TWO
PERSONAL SERVICE AGREEMENTS FOR CONTRACT
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTORS
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has an authorized Personal
Service Agreement for engineering inspection the need of which
was created for and funded by Harbor Bay Isle projects; and
WHEREAS, the person holding this position has accepted a
Construction Inspector position with the City, leaving his
contract position vacant; and
WHEREAS, the Infiltration/Inflow Correction Program
started this year in Alameda requires full-time inspection with
two projects totaling 2.4 million dollars and projected to have
a construction length of 18 months; and
WHEREAS, current construction projects for Harbor Bay
Isle development are substantial at this time and additional
projects are anticipated in the coming months, necessitating
replacement of the construction inspector; and
WHEREAS, the Infiltration/Inflow projects require
additional inspection and paper work required by the Army Corps
of Engineers for the State grant money.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager and the City Clerk be, and each
hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to,
cc respectively, on behalf of the City, two personal service
r agreements for contract construction inspectors.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing,
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 17th of November, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
