AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PERSONAL SERVICE AGREEMENT
WITH A CONTRACT CIVIL ENGINEER FOR A PERIOD OF
EIGHTEEN MONTHS
WHEREAS, on December 19, 1986, a personal service
agreement was executed between the City of Alameda and Robert J.
Andrews, a civil engineer; and
WHEREAS, said civil engineer has recently been appointed
to a City civil service position thereby creating a vacant
contract civil engineer position; and
WHEREAS, the workload for subdivisions and related
improvements necessitates refilling of said position for a period
of eighteen (18) months to handle the current and projected work;
and
WHEREAS, said position will be compensated from funds
derived from Harbor Bay Isle and other reimbursable projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager and the City Clerk be, and each
• hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to,
• respectively, on behalf of the City, a personal service agreement
• with a Contract Civil Engineer for a period of eighteen months.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 1st of December, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Camicia - 1.
