AWARDING CONTRACT TO WEST STAR DISTRIBUTORS
FOR GREENMASTER MOWER FOR THE GOLF COURSE AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the Equipment
Replacement Fund for the purchase of a greens mower for the Golf
Course; and
WHEREAS, proposals have been received from two qualified
turf equipment vendors that can provide the class of mower
needed; and
WHEREAS, West Star Distributors can supply said mower for
the sum of $13,004.20; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the proposal of West Star Distributors is hereby
accepted, the contract for one Toro Greenmaster Model 04350 with
' eleven blade cutting units is hereby awarded to said bidder, and
the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to
attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 15th of December, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef and
Acting President Thomas - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mayor Corica - 1.
