Resolution 11372CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11372 REJECTING ALL BID PROPOSALS FOR CITY TELECOMMUNI- CATION FACILITIES AND CALLING FOR NEW BIDS WHEREAS, on August 4, 1987, Council authorized the circulation of a Request For Proposals to qualified Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) vendors for the supply of a PABX to service the needs of the City and the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD); and WHEREAS, at the bid opening on December 17, 1987, minor and major errors were found in all of the bid documents submitted; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that rejection of all bids proposals and calling for new bid proposals would be in the best interests of the City and the AUSD; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that all bid proposals submitted on December 17, 1987 in response to the City's request for "Proposal for a New Telephone System for the City of Alameda and the Alameda Unified School District," are hereby rejected. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a joint request for new bid proposals and technical specifications for a joint telephone system with the Alameda Unified School District is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive proposals up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1988, in accordance with said Request for Proposal. Proposals must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for a New Telephone System for the City of Alameda and the Alameda Unified School District," or similar designation. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids. Said Request for Proposal may be had by any prospective bidder on application to the Public Works Department, in the City Hall, Alameda, California. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for proposals, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Request for Proposal. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th of January, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5.
