ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR REPAIR OF
PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, CURB, GUTTER AND
DRIVEWAY FOR FISCAL YEARS ENDING JUNE 30, 1988,
AND JUNE 30, 1989, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, specifications and plans have been prepared for
Repair of Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter and
Driveway for Fiscal Years Ending June 30, 1988, and June 30,
1989, numbered P.W. 2-88-4 and filed in the office of the City
Clerk on February 16, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said Specifications be, and the same are, hereby
approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 2:01 o'clock
p.m. on March 17, 1988, for furnishing to the City of all
labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Plans. Bids must be presented to the City and
plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Repair of Portland
Cement Concrete Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter and Driveway for Fiscal
Years Ending June 30, 1988, and June 30, 1989," or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the
provisions of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the
'''--responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The
right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications may be had by any prospective bidder
,on application to the Director of Public Works, at his office in
r-the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the
3 N' Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in
accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said
specifications and plans.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of February, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
