Resolution 11397CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11397 AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF EXISTING LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH CAGWIN & DORWARD, LANDSCAPE ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS, WITH CERTAIN MODIFICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT WHEREAS, on November 24, 1981, the City entered into an agreement with Cagwin & Dorward, Landscape and Engineering Contractors, to provide landscape maintenance of various areas in the City for one year; and WHEREAS, the quality of work by said Contractor has been acceptable to the City and the community and the contract has been renewed on a year -to -year basis since 1981; and WHEREAS, said Contractor has agreed to perform landscape maintenance service as set out in said agreement and in subsequent amendments to said agreement for an additional one year period for the sum of $85,908.00; WHEREAS, an increase in the amount for landscape maintenance is due to the inclusion of ground cover recently developed in relation to the Constitution Way Project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized to execute and to attest to, respectively, on behalf of the City, a one -year renewal of that certain agreement between the City and Cagwin & Dorward, P.W. 9 -81 -9 as amended, for landscape maintenance services at a contract price of $85,908.00. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th of February, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5.
