WHEREAS, funds will be reimbursed from fees collected
from the various project participants through the Athletic Trust

CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11398
AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF RECREATION AND
PARK DEPARTMENT SUPPLIES
WHEREAS, various projects in the Recreation and Park
Department including Day Camp, Youth Sports and the Annual Run
for the Parks have need to provide participants with tee-shirts
in recognition of project activity; and
WHEREAS, quotations and proposals for a combined quantity
of five hundred forty-six dozen tee-shirts have been solicited
from eleven qualified vendors; and
WHEREAS, the proposal from Doherty and Dunne, an Alameda
firm, in the amount of $20,667.40 reflecting an early payment
discount of $394.19 was the lowest and best price submitted; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter said
Council hereby authorizes the purchase from Doherty and Dunne of
five hundred forty-six dozen tee-shirts for various projects of
the Athletic Trust Fund for the sum of $20,667.40.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of February, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
