MAKING AN AWARD TO VALUATION COUNSELORS OF SAN FRANCISCO
FOR A FIXED ASSETS PHYSICAL INVENTORY
WHEREAS, a request for proposals for conducting a fixed
assets physical inventory for the City was issued during October
of 1987; and
WHEREAS, Valuation Counselors, Inc. of San Francisco,
California submitted a proposal in accordance to all provisions
and requirements contained in the City's call for proposals; and
WHEREAS, the price of the engagement proposed is twenty-
two thousand five hundred dollars with billing on a progressive
basis with the final ten percent retainer to be held until the
completion of the project is verified; and
WHEREAS, the project as proposed will be started within
two weeks of award and will be completed within ninety days of
the date the inventory begins;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the proposal submitted by the firm of
Valuation Counselors, Inc. of San Francisco is hereby accepted
and that a contract in the amount of twenty-two thousand five
hundred dollars is hereby awarded to Valuation Counselors, Inc.,
for the performance of an inventory of the City's fixed assets;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Alameda hereby appropriates the amount of twenty-two thousand
five hundred dollars to provide for this contract award from
General Fund Reserves and that upon completion and verification
of true asset values, a re-allocation be done to distribute
proportionate shares of inventory cost according to amount of
time to take inventory.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of February, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
