Resolution 11419CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11419 STATING AND REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION OF A SPECIAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO BE HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 1988, WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 1988 (MEASURE A) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 4, Part 2, Division 12, of the Elections Code of California, and of Sections 23302 and 22807 thereof, a Special Election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City a proposed ordinance as set forth in the statement of the question below, be consolidated with the State of California Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, June 7, 1988. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the election precincts, polling places, voting booths, and election officers who shall conduct said Special Election are hereby designated to be the same as the election precincts, polling places, voting booths, and election officers as shall be designated, established and appointed by resolution or ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda for the purpose of holding and conducting said Primary Election within the territory affected by this order of consolidation, and that said election shall be held in all respects as if there were only one election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of said County of Alameda is hereby authorized and empowered to canvass the returns of said Special Election and certify the results thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, be, and it is hereby requested to make its order and to take such other and further proceedings as may be necessary to effect the consolidation of said Special Election with said State of California Primary Election, all in accordance with the laws of the State of California regulating and providing for the consolidation of elections. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the exact form of the measure to be voted on at said Special Election, and as the same is to appear on the ballot, is as follows: 1 MEASURE A - Proposed Ordinance Shall an ordinance be adopted imposing a tax of one-half of one percent of . . . the value of any structure for which . YES . . building and/or plumbing permits are issued, said tax to be used for a fire and medical facilities and equipment . NO . . fund. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the measure hereinafter referred to shall be designated on the ballot as "Proposed Ordinance of the City of Alameda." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby directed to immediately file with the Board of Supervisors, County of Alameda, State of California, this Resolution, duly certified by said City Clerk, and file a copy of said certified Resolution with the County Clerk of the County of Alameda, State of California. it:4f \ \NJ 2 I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st of March, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and Mayor Corica - 5.
