AWARDING CONTRACT TO M. F. MAHER, INC. FOR THE
REPAIR OF PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, CURB
GUTTER AND DRIVEWAY FOR FISCAL YEARS ENDING JUNE 30,
1988, AND JUNE 30, 1989, NO. P.W. 2 -88 -4 AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Repair of Portland
Cement Concrete Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter and Driveway for Fiscal
Years Ending June 30, 1988, and June 30, 1989, in accordance with
Specifications No. P.W. 2 -88 -4 approved February 16, 1988; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by M. F. Maher, Inc. agreeing to perform said work in
accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $61,431.46 for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 1988, and $189,620.00 for the
fiscal year ending June 30, 1989; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of M.F. Maher, Inc. is hereby accepted,
the contract for the Repair of Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalk,
Curb, Gutter and Driveway for Fiscal Years Ending June 30, 1988,
and June 30, 1989, is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to
attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award of contract for Fiscal
Year 1988 -89 is subject to appropriation by the City Council of
the amount for funding of this project.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 5th of April, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Thomas, Monsef, Camicia, Haugner
and President. Corica.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
