AWARDING CONTRACT TO WESTERN-ALLIED SERVICE FOR
MECHANICAL SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE IN VARIOUS CITY
FACILITIES FOR FISCAL YEARS 1987-88 AND 1988-89,
NO. P.W. 7-87-16 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Mechanical Systems
Maintenance in Various City Facilities for Fiscal Years 1987-88
and 1988-89, in accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 7-87-16
approved August 4, 1987; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Western-Allied Service agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the amount of $2,723
for the period through June 30, 1988, and $11,202 for the 1988-89
fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Western-Allied Service is hereby
accepted, the contract for Mechanical Systems Maintenance in
Various City Facilities for Fiscal Years 1987-88 and 1988-89 is
hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf
of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award of contract for Fiscal
Year 1988-89 is subject to appropriation by the City Council of
: the amount for funding of this project.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 5th of April, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Thomas, Monsef, Camicia, Haugner
and President Corica.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
