AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF
A DUMP TRUCK FOR THE GOLF COURSE
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the Equipment
Replacement Fund to replace a dump truck for the Golf Course;
and
WHEREAS, the best vehicle for intended use is composed
of a 1988 Chevrolet R30 cab and chasis installed with a 2-1/2
cubic yard dump box; and
WHEREAS, the cab and chassis needed is available only
through the State of California Cooperative Purchasing Contract;
and
WHEREAS, State requirements include Council approval by
resolution and the naming of a representative to act on behalf of
the City of Alameda.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter
the Golf Course in cooperation with the City Purchasing Agent,
is hereby authorized to purchase one dump truck through the State
Department of General Services for the estimated amount of
$15,522.51.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 3rd of May, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
