Resolution 11462CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11462 APPOINTING ENGINEERS AND ATTORNEYS FOR ISLAND CITY LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT 84-2 WHEREAS, on June 7, 1984, by its Resolution No. 10353, this City Council ordered the formation of and levied the first assessment within the Island City Landscaping and Lighting District 84-2 (the "District") pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (commencing at Section 22500 of the California Streets and Highways Code) (hereinafter "the Act"); and WHEREAS, Sections 22620, et seq., of the Act provide for the levy of annual maintenance assessments after formation of the District; and WHEREAS, within the District, the maintenance proposed to be made is generally as described in proceedings in and for Zones 1-7 of said District heretofore approved by this Council and herein incorporated by this reference; and WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience will be served by appointing and employing an engineer and attorney for assessment and legal services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that John Heindel is hereby designated as Engineer for purposes of preparing and filing with the City Clerk a written report in accordance with Section 22565, et seq., of the Act; said Engineer is hereby directed to apportion the assessments of the costs of said maintenance in accordance to the benefits received from said maintenance by the lots, pieces and parcels of land within the District, and said Engineer is hereby directed to accomplish such preparation and filing forthwith. The fee of said Engineer shall be as fixed in these proceedings. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Jones Hall Hill & White, A Professional Law Corporation, San Francisco, California, is hereby appointed as attorneys to prepare all resolutions, :w instructions, and provide guidance in the completion of said proceedings. The fee of said attorneys shall be as fixed in these proceedings. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of May, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5.
