II464 DESIGNATING THE PARK AVENUE HERITAGE AREA WHEREAS, the City of Alameda Historical Preservation Ordinance recommends the designation of areas with a high concentration of historical resources as Heritage Areas; and WHEREAS, Heritage Areas are honorary and education designations; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda Historical Advisory Commission on May 5, 1988 voted unanimously to recommend designation of the Park Avenue Heritage Area; and WHEREAS, the Park Avenue Heritage Area, which has x/._._�_' first r�^' ~''�'`�''^, '''`' "'"",°'"�''"'.�v===". �."...uumu///�uux /u/ City Park as its central focus, has been fully researched in a report of the Historical Advisory Commission dated May, 1988. ^ �w NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda ' ^ that the Park Avenue neighorhood, as described in the report of the Historical Advisory Commission dated May 1988` be designated as the Park Avenue Heritage Area I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of May, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Counciamembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 18th day of May, 1988.
